To have your holiday perfume inventory on the shelf in time, place your wholesale order by working backward from the day you want to start selling: subtract a safety margin, the transit time your carrier or freight forwarder confirms, our preparation time and a few days to confirm and pay the order. If you sell on Black Friday, that countdown can start in October.
Shoppex Corp is a wholesale distributor of original perfumes with a warehouse in Doral, Miami, supplying stores and resellers across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Your order travels with the carrier or forwarder you choose: we prepare it and hand it over in Doral. That is why your delivery date comes from them, and here is how to build the full countdown.
Key takeaways
- Work backward: selling date, margin, transit, our preparation, payment and order.

How to time your holiday perfume inventory
The question is not how many days are left until Christmas, but which day is your last one to submit the order. To find it, start from the day you want to sell and subtract each leg of the trip, from the last to the first:
- Your target date. The day you want the perfume in your store or warehouse, ready to sell.
- A margin. One week for the unexpected, like a carrier delay or a customs inspection.
- Transit. The days your carrier or forwarder confirms, in writing and for those dates.
- Our preparation. Up to 3 business days for Fast Shipping and up to 7 for Back Order, from the day we receive payment.
- Order and payment. Two or three business days to confirm availability, send you the sales order and receive your payment.
The date you are left with is your last day to submit the order. If this is your first order, create your free account on our wholesale platform before you start, so you plan with today’s real stock.
How long we take to prepare your order
Our part is measured in business days, Monday to Friday: the warehouse is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. And the clock starts when we receive your payment, not when you submit the order.
Fast Shipping
1–3
business days to prepare items already in our warehouse.
Back Order
5–7
business days for items we source from our suppliers.
After you submit
48–72 h
of reserved stock while we confirm availability.
Submitting an order costs nothing: our team confirms availability and sends you the sales order. Have your payment ready for that moment, because every day it takes to arrive pushes everything else back. If you pay by wire, add your bank’s processing days and keep U.S. bank holidays in mind: the Federal Reserve is closed on November 11, November 26 and December 25. Payment methods and card limits are in our FAQ.

When your order is ready, we email you and send the real weight and dimensions of the boxes, which is what your carrier needs for a quote. Before we hand it over, we document the shipment with photos and video.
What to ask your carrier or freight forwarder
We sell ex works, which means the sale is complete at our warehouse in Doral: from there, the carrier or freight forwarder you choose handles transportation, insurance and customs.
Inside the U.S., you buy the label with your carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS or LTL) once we send you the weight and dimensions, and transit is whatever your carrier quotes for your ZIP code. If you would rather not deal with it, once your order is packed we can buy a UPS label on your behalf, at your cost and with the shipment under your responsibility. Keep in mind that UPS is closed on Thanksgiving and on Christmas Day.
Outside the U.S., your forwarder picks up the order in Doral, or we take it to their warehouse if it is within 5 miles, as our delivery policy explains. Before you order, ask them:
- How many days does it take, in November and December, from the time they receive your cargo in Miami until you have it, customs included?
- Do they have a cutoff date to receive cargo before Christmas, or a last consolidation of the year?
- Which route will your cargo take, and do they accept perfume on it?
- Which days is customs in your country closed between December and January?
- Which documents do they need so your cargo is not held up?
We cannot answer those for you: they depend on your forwarder and on customs in your country. Get the answers in writing, for your dates. Our guide to buying wholesale perfumes in Miami from Latin America explains how to choose one.
The 2026 dates that drive each market
Your target date is not Christmas: it is the day your customers start buying. In the U.S., 42% of shoppers planned to start their holiday shopping before November, according to the National Retail Federation’s 2025 survey, and by early December consumers had completed, on average, 51% of their holiday shopping (NRF). These are the 2026 dates in some of the markets our customers sell in:
- United States: Black Friday is Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving, which falls on Thursday, November 26, according to the federal holiday calendar. Christmas Day falls on a Friday.
- Puerto Rico: private employers normally pay the Christmas bonus between November 15 and December 15, under Law 148 of 1969.
- Mexico: El Buen Fin 2026, the nationwide sales event, runs November 13 to 17, and the year-end bonus, the aguinaldo, must be paid before December 20 under Article 87 of the Federal Labor Law.
- Colombia: the second half of the service bonus, the prima de servicios, is due within the first 20 days of December under Article 306 of the Labor Code.
- Dominican Republic: the Christmas salary, known as doble sueldo, is paid in December, as the tax agency DGII notes.
If you sell in Venezuela, Central America or elsewhere in the Caribbean, apply the same logic: find out when year-end bonuses are paid there, such as the aguinaldo or the thirteenth-month salary, and set your target date before them.
A worked example: stock on the shelf for Black Friday
Say you run a store in Texas and want your stock on the shelf by Friday, November 20, a week before Black Friday. When you check rates, your carrier quotes 5 business days from Doral to your ZIP code. That number is only an example: yours comes from your carrier. Working backward, the countdown looks like this:
- Friday, November 27: Black Friday.
- Friday, November 20: your target date, with a week of margin.
- Friday, November 13: the day your carrier has to pick up the order in Doral, 5 business days earlier.
- Tuesday, November 3: the day we need to receive your payment if your order is Back Order (up to 7 business days to prepare).
- Thursday, October 29: the day to submit your order, so confirmation and the sales order fit before you pay.
With Fast Shipping items, prepared in up to 3 business days, your payment could arrive as late as Monday, November 9, and the order could go in on Thursday, November 5. That is six more days to fine-tune your holiday perfume inventory.
About this example. The dates use our maximum preparation times and a made-up transit time. They are not a delivery promise: the real date depends on your carrier, on customs if you import, and on the day we receive your payment.
How to win back days if you are running late
Build the core with Fast Shipping. Your holiday perfume inventory is ready sooner when it is already in our warehouse, and those items have their own filter on the platform. Save Back Order to round out your assortment when the countdown allows it.
Split the season into two orders. A main order placed early and a shorter restock for your best sellers. From $2,500, your whole order moves to a better price level and you get an assigned sales representative.
Check stock before you promise. The platform updates about every two hours, and if a perfume does not show up, it is usually out of stock for a while. Our best-seller list is a good place to start.
Talk to your carrier or forwarder first. With their cutoff in hand, you know your last day to order. And if you are still deciding what to stock, here is how to capture niche perfume buyers in the peak season.
Frequently asked questions
How long will my order take to arrive?
That time comes from your carrier or forwarder, because we sell ex works in Doral. Our part is preparation: 1 to 3 business days for Fast Shipping and 5 to 7 for Back Order, from the day we receive payment.
Do preparation days start when I submit the order?
No, they start when we receive your payment. When you submit the order, the stock is reserved for 48 to 72 hours while we confirm availability and send you the sales order.
What is the minimum order?
Orders start at $1,000, combining any products you like. Per product, the minimum is 2 units for Fast Shipping and 6 for Back Order.
What if a perfume I want is out of stock?
If it does not show up on the platform, it is usually out of stock for a while, and many fragrances are restocked regularly.
Do I need a resale certificate to buy?
In the United States, yes: you need a Resale Tax ID. Outside the U.S. you do not need a registered business, but you do need to be buying to resell.
